rə.ˈkruːt.mənt ˈprou.sis ˌɑːwt.ˈsɔhrs.iŋ / Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO)
Definition
Recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) occurs when a business transfers its recruitment processes to an external service provider.
A subset of outsourcing, RPO aims to allocate recruitment activities outside an organization to allow its stakeholders to focus on more critical functions.
An RPO company screens job role candidates and finds the ideal employee for its client. In doing so, it utilizes the technology, methods, and equipment necessary to meet a client's hiring needs.
Unlike a staffing company, an RPO service provider takes ownership of the entire recruitment process, from its design to its management.
