ˈsɝː.vəs ˈɔhr.dər / Service Order
A service order is a document that states the service that a client requires.
It shows the deliverables of a service provider to its client. Usually short-term, the document covers the one-time services ordered. Additionally, it can include cost estimates, schedule, location, and resources relevant to the service's implementation.
Service providers utilize service orders to have a record of their work. Aside from that, service orders play a significant role when service providers plan their resources, especially their allocation of equipment, utilities, and workforce.
