Disaster recovery (or DR) is a part of an organization's security planning that involves a set of procedures or guidelines that facilitate the restoration of an establishment, technology, or other infrastructure after natural or man-made disasters.There are four types of disaster recovery plans:1. Back-up Only - involves backing up company data in different secure data centers2. Cold Site - involves a rented secondary facility with enough infrastructure to keep business going3. Hot Site - involves a remote or offshore identical facility4. Virtual - involves fully online or software backup servers for hardware-independent recovery
