ˈbiz.nəs ˈprou.sis ˈmæ.nəǰ.mənt / Business Process Management (Bpm)

Definition

It is a discipline where a company improves the business process. Business process management is a part of operations management that deals with improving the end-to-end business process by analyzing, overseeing, and optimizing the executed business process. Effective business process management can minimize or eliminate human error and identify gaps in the system, ultimately improving efficiency and business performance. It is often mistaken for task or project management, which deals with organizing a set of functions, often through project management software. Meanwhile, business process management tackles repetitive or ongoing processes with a predictable sequence.
