Job Overview
KDCI Outsourcing is looking for a Data Collection and Ingestion Support Specialist who can effectively oversee the ingestion of all offers received by the Business, from suppliers worldwide. The Data Collection and Ingestion Support Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and reliable data by overseeing the ingestion of offers into our custom-built system and performing thorough data quality checks. With a focus on data integrity, this position will also be responsible for updating and creating new items in the data management system.
Responsibilities
Ingest pricing offers from suppliers into ‘Athena’ system, ensuring the data isaccurately and completely captured.
IngestTarget pricing and product requests from potential customers ensuring theirrequests are accurately captured.
Updateand create new items in the ‘Athena’ system ensuring accuracy and completenessof item master data.
Maintainand regularly review item master data, updating it to ensure it remainsup-to-date, relevant, and aligned with business requirements.
Adhereto established data management procedures and protocols to maintain datasecurity, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
Collaboratewith cross-functional teams including IT, sales, and purchasing to streamlinedata management processes and improve data accuracy and efficiency.
Performcomprehensive data quality checks on the ingested offers to validate theiraccuracy, consistency, and integrity.
Regularlyreview and verify the data against established guidelines, pricing agreements,and internal policies.
Researchcapabilities to correctly ascertain accurate product information sourcedthrough reliable channels.
Work closely with the sales and purchasing teams to clarify any discrepancies or issues identified in the pricing offers.
Foster a collaborative relationship with IT, sales, and purchasing teams to ensure efficient data management and to address any system-related issues or requirements.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment in data management processes and decisions.
Requirements
Proven experience in data management, data analysis, or a related role.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data handling and analysis.
Proficiency in working with data management systems and tools, with experience in handling large datasets.
Knowledge of data quality assurance practices, data governance, and data validation techniques.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify data issues and propose appropriate solutions.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.
Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel or other data analysis tools.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work and continuous improvement.
